Send it Faster, Lower Your Costs
From the moment Web content is created (code, files, graphics, etc.) to the moment the page is loaded in a Web browser, content can be optimized and accelerated. There are many ways to deliver content faster, and to get it there cheaper. The OptiView Acceleration Engine uses a unique mix of technologies to get maximum results at all points across the Internet.

Streamline Content
Inherently, it takes less time to transmit fewer bytes from point A to point B. OptiView uses several proprietary and standards-based technologies to minimize the size of your content, and to make data transmission as efficient and speedy as possible.

Code and Image Scrubbing
The simplest step in optimizing Web content is "scrubbing" code and graphics to remove unnecessary data. Within a simple Web page, there can be tens of thousands of bytes of data that are unnecessary.

Compressing
After Web content has been scrubbed clean, it can be substantially compressed to minimize file sizes without sacrificing visual quality. OptiView’s proprietary technologies enhance standard GZIP text compression for Web code and document files, and JPG compression for Web graphics.

Caching
OptiView's appliances cache HTTP content, reducing delivery times and stress on infrastructure. Additionally, OptiView’s “smart caching” enriches HTTP headers to make content far more cacheable within the appliance and downstream.

Through these caching methods, and by sharing cache content information between appliances, OptiView products are able to form extraordinarily efficient enterprise Content Delivery Networks (eCDN) within your organization.

Persistent Connections
OptiView appliances use persistent connections, both with browsers making requests and by upstream servers handling requests. Persistent connections eliminate the time and overhead involved in creating new connections for each new request. Also, by multiplexing HTTP sessions over established persistent connections, OptiView appliances are able to overcome the common inefficiencies of basic Web data flow. By preventing connections from dropping between requests, content flow is uninterrupted and no time is wasted reestablishing connections.

DNS Resolution, Caching, and Pre-fetching
OptiView appliances reduce much of the overhead associated with DNS lookup by resolving Web site domains with the appropriate DNS entry, caching the data, and then intelligently and automatically refreshing the entries once they expire.

OptiView uses a unique mix of powerful technologies to provide clientless content acceleration with outstanding results at any point in your network. That is the crux of what makes OptiView different from every other Web content acceleration solution available.
