
FORMER ORACLE SENIOR VP RONALD CUNEO BECOMES EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF OPTIVIEW'S SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Accomplished Executive Brings Proven Leadership and Vision to Direct Sales Efforts
Dulles, VA (October 8, 2002)OptiView Technologies, a leading provider of Web content acceleration products and services, today announced that Ron Cuneo, former Oracle senior vice president and general manager, has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Cuneo will spearhead the continuing development of OptiView's Sales and Business Development divisions.
A talented businessman with a technology career spanning 33 years, Cuneo brings diverse experience to OptiView. "Ron brings with him valuable decades of executive-level sales experience leading small and large teams," said Donna Hemmert, OptiView CEO. "Ron is also philosophically aligned with our management team, has an entrepreneurial spirit, and is extremely well-connected in the industry."

Cuneo comes to OptiView from Oracle, where he was responsible for managing and growing Oracle’s sales in the state and local government markets. Previously, Cuneo served as President of Wang Federal and senior vice president of Wang Laboratories. Under Cuneo’s leadership, annual revenue represented roughly 18% of Wang’s worldwide sales. Prior to Wang, Cuneo was president and CEO of Honeywell Federal Systems, Inc.
Cuneo is affiliated with several professional associations, and has served on the Board for several organizations, including Tech River, the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Riggs Bank, and Inet. Cuneo holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and taxes from Pace College in New York City, and also holds a Master's degree in management technology from American University.
