OPTIVIEW ACCELERATION APPLIANCE NAMED FINALIST FOR PRESTIGIOUS TECHNOLOGY AWARD

Network Computing Magazine Nominates OptiView Products for Second Consecutive Year

Dulles, VA (February 25, 2003)—OptiView Technologies, a leading provider of Web content acceleration products and services, today announced that SiteCelerate, OptiView's new Web site and Web application acceleration appliance, has been named a finalist for a Network Computing Magazine "2003 Well-Connected Award." Finalists are chosen by the magazinešs technology editors from a pool of products tested and evaluated in the Network Computing labs. This is the ninth year that the magazine has recognized outstanding enterprise products and services.

SiteCelerate optimizes all images, code, and files, and applies additional techniques to significantly accelerate Web sites and Web applications. SiteCelerate improves page delivery 2 to 10 times—to every user, on every connection speed, on every device. Images are typically reduced in size by 35% without visual degradation, and code and file size is reduced by an average of 80%. Combined with SiteCeleratešs Web content cacheability techniques, Web bulk is reduced an average of 65%. SiteCelerate also adds infrastructure scalability, dramatically improves site performance, and provides a vastly improved site experience.

"Our customers find that by accelerating Web content through reducing bandwidth usage, SiteCelerate increases revenues while cutting network costs—and the potential ROI is very attractive," said Donna Hemmert, OptiView CEO. "We are honored that Network Computing has recognized SiteCelerate as a leading-edge technology and validated our vision."

Award winners will be announced during the NetWorld+Interop 2003 trade show, held this May in Las Vegas. All finalists will be spotlighted in the May issue of Network Computing, and will be listed online at http://www.networkcomputing.com.
