
FORMER PSINET EXECUTIVE JOINS THE OPTIVIEW TECHNOLOGIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Former PSINet President & COO John Kraft Bring Years of Executive Sales and Business Development Experience
Dulles, VA (March 24, 2003)OptiView Technologies, a leading provider of Web content acceleration products and services, today announced the addition of John Kraft, former President and COO of PSINet and a leading Internet strategist, to the company's Board of Directors.
Kraft served as President and Chief Operating Officer of PSINet U.S., and was tasked to lead the company through its difficult Chapter 11 bankruptcy phase. When Kraft joined PSINet in 1996, he was the founder and vice president of the Carrier and ISP Services division. Kraft came to PSINet from MCI Communications, where he served in several executive positions from 1986-1996.
Kraft was intrigued by the potential of OptiView’s unique approach to content acceleration. OptiView speeds content through a combination a technologies, including text compression, image optimization, caching, protocol management, and persistent connections. The result is faster transfer rates, increased online revenue generation, and substantial hardware and bandwidth cost savings.
