Internet Explorer for Windows

  1. Access the Tools menu.
  2. Choose Internet Options.
  3. Click the Connections tab.
  4. Click each of the Dial-up and Virtual Private Network Settings buttons, and the LAN Settings button, and follow steps 5, 6, and 7.
  5. Click the Use automatic configuration script checkbox, so a checkmark displays in the box.
  6. In the Address field, type http://www.optiview.com/trial/proxy.pac if you are in, or closer to the eastern half of the United States, or http://www.optiview.com/trial/proxywest.pac if you are in, or closer to the western half of the United States.
  7. Click OK.
    The Internet Options dialog is frontmost.
  8. Click the Advanced tab.
  9. Click the Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections checkbox, so a checkmark displays in the box.
  10. Click OK.
  11. When prompted for a user name and password, type your OptiView account number in the User Name field, and type your OptiView Password in the Password field. You should have received this information in an email message after creating your OptiView account.
Your browser is now configured to use OptiView NetCelerate.


Netscape for Windows

  1. Access the Edit menu.
  2. Choose Preferences.
  3. Click the Advanced arrow to expand the drop-down list.
  4. Click Proxies.
  5. Click the Automatic proxy configuration URL radio button.
  6. In the associated field, type http://www.optiview.com/trial/proxy.pac if you are in, or closer to the eastern half of the United States, or http://www.optiview.com/trial/proxywest.pac if you are in, or closer to the western half of the United States.
  7. Click OK.
  8. When prompted for a user name and password, type your OptiView account number in the User Name field, and type your OptiView Password in the Password field. You should have received this information in an email message after creating your OptiView account.
Your browser is now configured to use OptiView NetCelerate.

  7. Click the Settings button.
  8. In the Port field, type 3128.
  9. Type your OptiView account number in the User Name field, and type your OptiView Password in the Password field. You should have received this information in an email message after creating your OptiView account.
  10. Click OK.
    The Internet Explorer Preferences dialog is frontmost.
  11. Click OK.
Your browser is now configured to use OptiView NetCelerate.


Netscape for Macintosh
